Biography
Born in 1969. Fzono started learning piano at the age of 4 and began composing at the eight.
He studied under Toshiro Mayuzumi and began his music career as a Contemporary Classical music composer.
He formed
Psychedelic Rock band “Midara Gokoro” in 1986. In 1987, he went to Europe, and learned Philosophies including Mysticism and Theosophy. After this era, leading a wandering life across Europe and Asia, he researched Ancient music andEthnic music. In 1988, he formed a legendary Japanese Rave band “Far East Acid House Quartet, Otherwise the LSD Liberation Front” in London. They manly played in the underground scenes in and outside of Japan. He played keyboard until the band dissolved in 1997. He began recording his solo works in parallel with the band activities. In 1988, he released his first solo album “Phosphorescence” from Nerve Nets Records in New York (under the name “Siamese Twin”). He has been highly praised globally for his Synthesizer Music described as “a unique cross-fertilization of Psychedelic, Electronic, and Classical Music”. |
In 1989, he formed a Trance Techno band in New York, and held audio-visual live performance series named “Multimedia Visionquest” throughout New York and surrounding States. He has released an array of albums since then under the name of "Psychedelic Plants Research Laboratory" [Some early albums pressed in some parts of the US, released under the name "Aurora Heads"] . For these early activities, He is now considered to be a groundbreaker of Psychedelic Trance, Acid Techno, and Rave.In his 2nd solo album “Echoes” (1990), he created a translunary world using the visual-like effects that synthesizers excel. This new method/genre has been named as "Synthesizer Symphony" and “Symphobient”, and has become an original term representing AQi Fzono’s early music style.

Operatic diva Janice Bradley, orchestra and choir were featured, creating the sound of the colossal symphonic poem in the new era. This album was highly praised around the world, further expanding his cross-border fan base.
After an interval of 4 years, AQi Fzono’s new album “Trance-Rave Cosmology” (AQi Fzono with Trance-Rave Daughters) which packs the best hit club/dance remixes of his signature tunes and club hits was released on September 21, 2007.
